Happy Birthday, America!

I don't know if our fourth of July could have been more uneventful which was perfect! Being in the middle of the week, it just threw everything off for me! On Tuesday night, we decided to run up to Clayton and take the boys to the rodeo. We called the Ross Carters' to see if they would be up for a pizza beforehand. Needless to say, the kids started playing and the adults started visiting and we never made it to the rodeo. Sitting out on Ross and Shelley's porch underneath the cottonwood trees might be in my top 5 favorite things to do...no lie!

The boys could play with trucks, trailers and animals all day long!
They loved Ross' new puppy, Bingo.

Gentry was a big fan of the porch, too!

Love all of these sweet boys!

I had to add this one because of Carter in the background! So cute!

We weren't too crazy about the 4th of July photo shoot!

But then decided it was ok!

Mom, really?

Words cannot describe how we feel about these three!

I wish I would have gotten a picture of the boys driving their Gator while waving their flags. It made my heart smile! Being away from my husband, the past three weeks has been rough to say the least. I have been working in Dalhart while he is in taxidermy school. One night after feeling really sorry for myself, the image of a soldier popped in my head. How can I complain about being a part from my husband when there are men and women spending months from their family to protect my freedom? It was a humbling moment. Thank you to all who serve so unselfishly for all of us!

2 months

I am a week behind on our sweet girls' 2 month post, but I have often adopted the "better late than never" phrase to my life so now is no different!

Last Wednesday, I took Gentry to see Dr. G for the last time! We have loved Dr. G and are so sad to be leaving her! Gentry weighed in at 12 lbs 9 oz and was 24 inches long.

I love that her smile is so big...it is contagious!

Gentry, at two months you..
- are a great eater but it is not as much of a priority as it was with your brothers. You nurse every other feeding which seems to be working great! You don't mind taking the bottle although the first days were rough while Mom was at training.
- sleep 5-6 hour stretches at night and you love to nap!
- love your tongue and are almost always blowing bubbles. Your brothers often try to pop them when I am not looking.
- wear 3-6 month clothing and size 2 diapers.
- a very, happy girl! When you do get up set, you can stick out that bottom lip like I have never seen before!
- have started trying to talk to us with lots of expression...I think you might be a talker. I wouldn't expect anything different! LOVE it!

We are so thankful that you came into our lives and for the past two months!

Ruidoso

Two weekends ago we made a quick trip to Ruidoso with Lance's family. We had the best time! In all of my lists for packing, my camera did not make it in the car. My camera phone did not capture the fun that we had!
Rett "cheesing" for the camera.

Two of my three sweet nieces enjoying the races.

I think the kids liked the snacks the most!

This little sweet pea slept 7 hours the first night! We have not done it since but I know that it will be happening again soon! She loved the mountains!

 Ready to go shopping!

We found this hat that matched her outfit from Aunt Nat perfectly! I couldn't resist!

I was trying to entertain Colt in between races. I didn't realize how dirty my phone had gotten so excuse the clarity of this photo!

Nennie and Gentry enjoying the races on Sunday!

Of course, I didn't capture the bumper boats or go-cart races since I was involved in racing. Colt and I clearly beat Rett and Lance at the bumper boats since we were not near as wet as they were. It could have been that their sprayer was pointed down or it could have just been Colt and I's awesome skills! :)

We enjoyed the weekend and the family time! So thankful!
